Whistles unveil swim collaboration with The Longing

The premium high-street retailer Whistles has revealed a new high summer swim collection alongside lifestyle company The Longing, founded by the famous blogger Lindsey Holland and her business partner Jack Mizon last year.
The limited-edition Whistles The Longing line, designed by Holland, includes ten contemporary swimming styles that focus on minimalist silhouettes and the most striking features, like tie fastenings, high-leg styles, and cut-outs in the back, in a color palette of neutral and earthy shades.
Each item in the capsule is made with “enduring fabrics,” explains Whistles in the press release. This includes high-stretch fabric that dries quickly and is constructed to last long.
Some highlights are the wide-back swimming suit with a rash vest, the bikini with an open back in the bold wave print with shades of chocolate, and the ecru in a style inspired by the motion of the ocean.
The collaboration was discussed in detail by Holland made the following declaration: “Designing this collection with Whistles is a real professional highlight. We have developed something I’d like to wear whenever I’m at or near the water.
“The surfing and the ocean have heavily influenced the design and they’re extremely important to me and give me the greatest happiness. We’ve designed an item that women feel comfortable in, but which is practical. I enjoyed sitting in the front row during the entire process.”

The Whistles x The Longing collection debuts on August 2, exclusively online at whistles.com and in select Whistles stores. Prices vary from 15 up to -99 pounds. Whistles will also have an updated version of the signature bath sheets and the range.
