CFDA releases preliminary NYFW schedule for September
The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) has published the first Official New York Fashion Week (NYFW) program, including more than 70 confirmed designers.
NYFW will be held from September 8 until September 13. The event will begin by presenting Peter Do’s first presentation as the creative director at Helmut Lang at 2 pm on September 8 and end by giving the Luar show of Raul Lopez, who was awarded the title of Accessories Designer of the Year at 2022’s CFDA Fashion Awards on September 13 at 8 pm.
Brands returning comprise Altuzarra, Anna Sui, Area, Brandon Maxwell, Carolina Herrera, Christian Siriano, Collina Strada, Cos, Dion Lee, Eckhaus Latta, Elena Velez, Gabriela Hearst, Jason Wu, Khaite LaQuan Smith Michael Kors, Palomo Spain, Prabal Gurung, Proenza Schouler Puppets & Puppets, Sergio Hudson, Theory, Tibi, Tory Burch, Ulla Johnson, and Willy Chavarria.
According to reports, Ralph Lauren will return to the New York catwalk on September 8 at 7 pm. The last show of fashion week was in 2019 for the fall/winter season, in which he reinvented the ballroom located on Wall Street as a nightclub named the “Ralph’s Club’.
The other shows returning to the NYFW program will be Jonathan Cohen and 3.1 Phillip Lim, along with first-time exhibits by Advisry, Chan Chit Lo Fforme Grace Ling, and Sho Konishi.

The Fashion Fund of the CFDA/Vogue finalist Colin LoCascio, Diotima, Kim Shui, Kozaburo, Melitta Baumeister Sami Miro Vintage, Tanner Fletcher, Who Decides War, and Zankov will also be part of the fashion week with showcases of their collections. Steven Kolb, chief executive of the CFDA and co-founder of the CFDA, stated in an announcement: “New York Fashion Week is a vital part of the city’s lively culture and a constant process of development and exploration.
“This year’s New York Fashion Week schedule is in keeping with this trend and will again show the very best in American style, new and established. We’re looking forward to returning Ralph Lauren, Jonathan Cohen and 3.1 Phillip Lim to the New York runway, adding to the energy of the week.”
Spring Studios will remain the central hub for IMG’s NYFW The Shows. The first Official NYFW Schedule is in conjunction with IMG’s NYFW The Shows. Additionally, the programs and shows remain through Runway360, the CFDA’s centralized digital hub and business tool, to assist with American designers’ collections launches throughout the year.
